INEDITA is an independent label specialized in producing high-quality recordings devoted to rare or unusual repertoire of classical music.
More than two hundred are the compositions, rare or completely unknown, which INEDITA has recovered during his decades of work dedicated to research and record production. Many of these works were composed by authors as unknown as deserving of being exhibited to the public of enthusiasts. Others are rare or unpublished works of well known authors, brought to light through patient and painstaking research, starting from the study of the sources, stored in archives and libraries, to arrive to the creation of the disc; only after a careful and rigorous musicological study which can last, in some cases, for whole years.
Therefore, every production of INEDITA takes on the outlines of a real event, often able to solicit musicological debate and add new rawlplugs to the knowledge of musicians such as Lao Silesu, Giovanni Toja, Domenico Sigismondi, Giuseppe Rabboni, Giacomo Monzino, and others; today finally returned to the musicological historiography and collective enjoyment through the CD.
INEDITA has also promoted researches in music considered rare or lost, regarding anything but unknown authors. These include the discovery of an unpublished and unknown Mass composed by Alessandro Scarlatti and the production of the first recording of the Humoreske for violin and orchestra by Ottorino Respighi.
The Beethoven Rarities series, now in its seventh volume, offers the most exclusive collection of rarities and world premiere recordings by Beethoven; including the world premiere of the Macbeth Overture - performed for the first time in Washington in 2001, the second in Britain in 2002 and the third in Sassari (Italy) in 2003 (the last one recorded on our CD) -, the new critical edition of the early Concerto for piano and orchestra WoO 4, and the first movement of an unfinished concerto for piano and orchestra of 1815 (Hess 15), written six years after the Emperor.
The productions of INEDITA have been reviewed in newspapers and journals all over the world, and have won several international awards.
